Give Back!

I didn't have my father around throughout my child, and it made a difference. My mother was present and always made sure that I had what I needed and even some things that me and my brother wanted. To provide those things it sometimes meant working 2 and 3 jobs and more than 8 hour days and 40 hours weeks, but she did it. I said all of that to say this, it's very important to be their for our children, and if you don't have any, it's important to mentor a child. It can be a niece or nephew, with BBBS (Big Brother Big Sister) or any other mentoring program in the country, just be sure to do it. Those few hours a week, couple of days a month really make a difference. Believe me I know. Laila and I

Giving back to children and even adults is about something bigger than ourselves.

What are you doing in your community? Are you helping others? Without help from someone along the way there would be no you.
